Wednesday Inspiration

The evening has come swiftly. As the sunlight fades into the dusk, you realize that the very strenuous workday has come to an end. As I look back on all of the tasks and responsibilities  that I had to complete thus far, if I accomplished one task, then I look at is as a success.

Years ago when I first started learning about writing your dreams and visions down on paper, I would write 10, 20, or even 30 things that I had to do.  It was an ever growing list of things that just kept coming and not going. Day in and day out I felt like I was dragging myself to get up, go to work, leave work then come home, so that I could do it all over again the next day.   It was always something to do. It felt like I would never get any rest. The word overwhelmed was an understatement. I was simply tired, frustrated and felt like I wanted to give up.

I thought I was alone at first. Often I felt like I had no one to lean on or to share my story.  Then, after I decided to open up and share the trials and tribulations that I was going through.  I spoke with some of my colleagues as well as close friends and they also felt the same way - exhausted. Through multiple conversations and years of looking for answers, I learnt a valuable lesson.  The answer was so simple, - write the vision.

It is written in Habakkuk 2 v. 2, to communicate your vision in writing, but as years progressed I learned that there was more to the scripture. To simply just write your plan of action, dreams or visions isn't enough. You must make it clear so that if someone else were to read it and follow your instructions, they too can see your vision and flow with it.

You may ask, "where is this going?  It's straightforward. For every task or vision, action, or plan that you have, write it clearly, then focus on that one task until it is complete. There have been so many instances that I have written down too many tasks, and accomplished NOTHING!!! So, now I write down at least three things that I need to do either daily or weekly and start to write out all the necessary steps that I need to do, so that I could be successful at tackling everything on my list. It seems cumbersome at first, but it really works.

If I didn't plan out my day, then I wouldn't have gotten to this blog post. Now, I feel a sense of accomplishment every time I reach a goal. Some are small goals and others are quite large. Overall, I have to say that it feels good to set your mind on something and finishing it. Even though we have issues and concerns that come up everyday, tackle one issue at a time and make sure a minimum of one item on your list is geared toward elevating you to the next level of success.

I hope this post has helped you in some way today. Please feel free to share your thoughts and comments and have a wonderful week.

Stay fabulous,
